PROMASEAL FC Retrofit Collar (square base) and the PROMASEAL FCS Retrofit Collar (circular base) are at the heart of the Promat fire stopping range of products and have many performance characteristics in common.

The PROMASEAL FC Retrofit Collar (square base) is a multi-purpose collar designed for use with concrete slabs, masonry and lightweight walls and lined ceilings. They can be split open, enabling retrofitting as and when necessary. Available in a range of sizes to suit plastic pipes up to 315mm* outside diameter, PROMASEAL FC Retrofit Collar are tested for up to 240 minutes FRL in accordance with the criteria of AS 1530: Part 4 and AS 4072: Part 1 with various types and sizes of plastic pipe.

The large opening in the collars will accommodate pipes (and UPVC pipe fittings) that have different outside diameters.The collars are unclipped, placed around the pipe, re-clipped and pushed tight to the substrate.

*The FRL for some of the larger collars is restricted in some types of application. It should be clearly noted that, before using any collar with diameter in excess of 110mm, users must consult Promat to ensure the proposed application and requisite FRL can be achieved.

IMPORTANT: Always check with Promat Technical Department to ensure the collar under consideration is appropriate for the type, diameter and thickness of the plastic pipe, and the application and orientation are covered by relevant certification.
